firefly

A field guide to coins that flash.

In some forests, thousands of fireflies blink as one with nobody keeping time. In 1990, Mirollo and Strogatz wrote the mathematics down. We gave it to memecoins.

Buys wind a coin's clock. When it fills, the coin flashes and nudges every coin that shares its holders.

xj ← xj + εpair + ε · wij
x is the clock on a concave curve, w the holders two coins share

Pick a pair, and you've picked your swarm.

Stonks lets a coin launch against 23 pairs, so firefly has 23 marshes. A new coin lands among the coins of its pair, and starts nudging them.

Before you release one

Does a flash pay anything?

No. A flash is a public signal, and no money moves. Buying during a flash brings no bonus and no reward.

Does the creator earn fees?

No. On Stonks, 1% of each trade goes to StonkFun, 0.25% to Raydium and 0% to the creator. What you get is a place in a swarm that other communities watch.

Is the marsh on this page live?

Not yet. It is a simulation that shows the mechanism. Coin clocks and sync figures will only be shown once they are measured from real trades. Whether real coins synchronise at all has not been shown yet.

Who holds my funds?

You do. You sign in your own wallet and firefly keeps no funds. You are the creator of the coin.
